Forthcoming DHOx events and call for speakers
Firstly, I wanted to let you know that whilst The Hill is visibly, and excitingly, taking the headlines at the moment, we're also busy setting up DHOx seminars and other events for the next few months, and more details will follow as soon as we have things confirmed. Whilst we're lining up these next few months, we're also putting out a call for speakers, to give people the opportunity to give a talk at one of our evening sessions. If you'd like to do a talk at a DHOx event, or run a workshop, please drop me a line with a short paragraph of what you'd like to talk about, and we'll take it from there. We will also be putting on some lightning talks (<5mins) during some of the forthcoming DHOx events, so if you'd like to show off your project, a new platform, something you've read or seen at a conference, and would like to tell a friendly and engaged audience about it, again, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Hill - 13th July
Apologies if you've already had an email about this next bit (which you should have done if you either came to the launch event for The Hill a couple of weeks ago or have signed up to the mailing list at thehill.co/).
It's incredibly exciting that DHOx has partnered with OUH and the Oxford AHSN to bring The Hill to reality, and it was fantastic to see such a large turnout on 22nd June, with a obviously significant presence from the DHOx community. We were delighted there was such a great appetite for digital innovation, to see people from such diverse professional backgrounds and that so many people and teams had ideas for which they wanted help in moving forward. I'd like to extend an invitation to you all for the next step of 'The Hill' experience.
The next event for ‘The Hill’ will be on the 13th of July in the Tingewick Foyer, in the John Radcliffe hospital.
What will be happening?
- Project Support: This event will present an opportunity for those with ideas to get help in moving them through the digital innovation pathway from prototyping through development and deployment to funding.
If you told us about an idea last time, we will have reviewed it and will start to help you navigate through the process.
Project Speed Dating: People with skills looking for a project will have the chance to meet people with projects who in turn will be able to start building a team.
- Plenary Speaker: People looking for inspiration can hear about digital innovations from our speaker.
WHEN: Wednesday, 13 July 2016 from 17:30 to 20:00 (BST)
WHERE: Tingewick Foyer, Academic Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 9DU

We hope to see you there next week,
